She is a communications professional who's worked with organizations including Hootsuite, Care2, Blue Horizon Group, The Economist. A former news editor and journalist, Ulara has written for and inspired coverage in outlets including CNN, BBC, WSJ, National Geographic, Entrepreneur, Business Insider, and more.

Sharanya is a digital strategy leader who has advised hundreds of U.S. and international nonprofits and socially-conscious brands.

Sharanya is a digital strategy leader who has advised hundreds of U.S. and international nonprofits and socially-conscious brands on growing their advocacy, fundraising, and consumer bases. Some of her clients have included WWF, The Nature Conservancy, NRDC, ASPCA, PETA, HSUS/HSI, Thrive Market, So Delicious, and Earth Balance. Previously, Sharanya served as the Executive Director of Food Empowerment Project and Secretary of the Board of Indians for Civic Action. She is a lifelong vegetarian who became vegan in 2007.
